Our Governors

Welcome to the section of the website where you can find out more about the school's Governors and what they do.

At St Paul's there are eleven governors who together make up the "Governing Body". The governors come from many different backgrounds and include parents, teachers, members of the Diocese, members of the local community and specialists appointed by the Local Authority. As a group we are responsible for the major decisions about the school and its future, and work with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher in the leadership of the school.

Our full Governing Body meets 3 times a year to discuss and agree the schools business. In addition there are 4 sub committees - each of these meets at least once a term. The 4 sub committees are:

  • Curriculum, Teaching and Learning;
  • Finance, staffing and Recruitment;
  • Premises and Health and Safety; and
  • Ethos.
