Class 3 are the youngest year group in Key Stage Two and are making an important transition to the Key Stage Two curriculum with lots of fun along the way. Mrs Bruce teaches Class 3 on a Monday and Tuesday. Mrs Evans teaches Class 3 on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
A day in the life of Class 3…
Our day starts with a fun morning activity to put us all in a learning frame of mind. Every day we have an English and Maths lesson which involve interactive activities. We have a daily guided reading session which involves children reading with the teacher, completing reading skills activities or enjoying the school library and reading their own choice of book.
We also cover a range of subjects which means any day may include, History, Geography, Art, French etc. These subjects are taught in a range of ways to make them fun and creative.
PE takes places twice a week and covers lot of different sports. One lesson a week is taught by a PE specialist. We will be taking part in outdoor PE when the weather is reasonable so please ensure children have shoes for the yard or field. During the summer term one of our PE sessions is learning how to swim.
